What a year 2021 has been. Despite the pandemic, this year has been an extremely positive one. As the year comes to an end, we thought we would round up all the biggest milestones from the last 12 months.

Deliveries

This year we added four new replacement delivery vehicles and a 7.5-ton lorry to our St Neots depot, improving our delivery times and helping us make 14,818 deliveries at an average of 284 per week across our depots. This accumulated to 364,536 miles which is equivalent to travelling 15 times around the Earth, or to the moon and halfway back!

Expanding our Presence

Our most notable expansion this year has to be our St Neots depot relocating to a bigger and better location. Now situated on Marston Road, round the corner from the previous site, this new space has improved our overall efficiency and service to our customers.

We also launched our brand-new website. This was completely redesigned in-house by one of our young, new talents Jack Lines. It marks a milestone for modernising us as a company by improving the overall aesthetics, whilst being more up to date. We are constantly working to improve the site and provide our customers with a plethora of information about us as a company. Watch this space for our upcoming St Neots products!

We have been working hard to improve our social media presence, to keep all our customers up-to-date with our latest news and offers. We have seen a steady increase in followers over the last year, and are constantly trying to make our content not only accurate but engaging to our followers.

Working with our Amazing Customers

It was a difficult year for all. But despite the pandemic, this year has been a great one for us in many ways. As an essential service, we continued to serve our customers all year round when nobody else could. We are so proud of our staff for handling this surge superbly while maintaining a safe work environment, not only for us but also for our customers. We were able to keep construction companies and key building services active and meet the demand of all the new lockdown DIYers.

We supplied timber and other building materials to some amazing projects throughout the year. The new Sky Studios Elstree Studio was our standout due to the focus on sustainability and environmental-focused practices. We also worked with DIY guru and Instagram sensation Alex Dodman on a stylish pergola with a TV and hot tub for a luxury viewing experience. And of course, we couldn’t forget to mention the thousands of incredible projects from our customers across the year. Whilst there are too many to name, we love seeing where our materials end up and appreciate each and every customer who walks through our doors.
