Bedford Timber have also been service to the needs of members of the public when it comes to their DIY requirements, especially during challenging economic times.
Bedford Timber have showrooms at Kempston and St Neots where DIY enthusiasts can browse and see what products can transform homes and gardens.
After the slightly disappointing weather of the past few months, the country will be hoping for an Indian Summer, so there’s still time to tackle that area of decking in the garden. Bedford Timber have a great and wide selection of products which will help home owners turn that drab area of the garden into a great outdoor space.
Taking a stand
The demand for Bedford Timber’s products and services is consistently high, and staff in the Kempston offices are constantly taking calls from customers. Although a necessary part of the job, sitting behind a computer screen all day can take its toll. So each member of the team now has what can only be described as a stand-up desk, which experts say is scientifically better for posture and circulation, and can also reduce the risk of obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
Dr John Buckley, from the University of Chester says: ”If you stand for three hours a day for five days that’s around 750 calories burnt. Over the course of a year it would add up to about 30,000 extra calories, or around 8lb of fat. If you want to put that into activity levels, then that would be the equivalent of running about 10 marathons a year.
The most important outcome, however, is that everyone at Bedford Timber is in tip-top shape to maintain the company’s high level of customer service.
