With Spring just around the corner, many of our thoughts are turning to our gardens. Spring is a great time to start landscaping, and Bedford Timber Supplies has all the materials you could possibly need to make your outdoor space truly wonderful.
With that in mind, we have put together four simple landscaping ideas to inspire you this spring and to get your garden ready for the warm weather.
- Put in some decking
It may sound obvious but putting some decking in your garden can really change the look and feel of your outdoor space, no matter what size it is. Decking is very reasonably priced and not too difficult to do yourself. It can create a lovely relaxing, space to put your garden furniture. We stock three different types of timber decking, from budget to premium, and a whole range of Trex® Composite Decking. Take a look at our Decking page to find out more.
- Place down a patio
The next step up from laying decking is to place down a patio. You will need to find a level surface (or create one) to lay your slabs, and then the colour and pattern is purely down to your imagination. Like decking, a patio can completely change the look of your garden. It can make it feel tidier and sleeker, if that’s what you want. And a patio is very hard wearing, so will last for many years. Our St Neots branch stocks a wide variety of paving slabs. Just give them a call on 01480 354378.
- Build some flower beds or pergola
Timber is a great way to get creative in the garden. You can use it to build something simpler, like raised flower beds. Or something a bit more complicated, like a pergola or sunshade. Either can add an exciting look to your garden, and the use of wood for landscaping looks natural and compliments every garden. Take a look at what timber we have on offer on our Products page of our website. Or give one of our friendly team a call and they will advise you on the best material for your project.
- Replace your old fence or gates
If you just want to spruce up your garden a bit, rather than launching a new landscaping project, this can easily be done by replacing your old fence or gate. A fresh fence can make even the most tired gardens look like new. Take a look at our Fence and Gates page to find out more.
So, there we have it, four simple ways to give your garden a fresh new look for the summer. If you have any questions on which material to use, feel free to give our Bedford or St Neots team members a call and they will help in any way they can.
